No business can be successful without good partnerships, and our relationship with Vali Paquette and Jessica Bryant at Homes by Vali and Jess has been an important factor in our growth over the last couple of years. We sat down with the two of them and talked about their business and what it’s like working with us here at Carolina Custom Homes.
Why don’t you tell us a little about your experience in the industry?
Let’s see…we’ve been helping buyers find homes for about five years between the two of us. Many realtors spend the majority of their time in a single county, potentially in one city, but we’re fortunate enough to be able to serve Guilford, Alamance, Chatham, Caswell, Orange, and other surrounding counties. We’re able to help a lot of families that way, and serve them in ways that most benefit them. Looking to buy an existing home in the country, or looking to build your own home near the city? Is there a particular type of home buyer you tend to work with? For example - first-time homebuyers?
We do work with a lot of first-time homebuyers, but we also work with those looking to list their home and young families looking to upgrade. I think part of the reason we do tend to work with a lot of first-time homebuyers is there is so much misinformation out there, the misconception that buying a home isn’t attainable, or that it’s too expensive. We get to educate them and help them achieve their dream of owning a home.
What are some advantages your buyers find working with Carolina Custom Homes over other home builders?
A large part of it is getting to work with Andy and June. They’ve built a company that makes it incredibly easy on the home buyer, they understand the industry, and they care about their product. Their process is smooth and can save buyers months on the closing process, getting them into their home faster.
Another big point in their favor is the price point. Their homes are built fairly and affordably, which means there aren’t appraisal issues. It’s easy to refer business to them because I know they will treat our clients right, and they won’t put them in a home that’s too expensive for them.
Finally, their land/home package is unique and buyer friendly. If you find a piece of land that works, they’ll buy it, develop it, build on it, and then sell you everything. Other builders make it more difficult by requiring you to buy the land yourself or make it part of a separate transaction. It reduces the stress on the buyer so much by not having to worry about that part.
