Recent decades worked around the “bigger is better” mantra, but designers and homeowners are gradually moving away from the idea that size is everything. Goodbye chrome.Sinks and plumbing finishes have been dominated by brushed nickel and chrome looks in the past, but recent trends show that more and more people are opting for warmer looks using bronze, gold, and copper finishes.

We doubt that knotty pine wall panels will be making a comeback anytime soon, but today’s designs are showcasing materials that look more natural rather than painted and processed.
New Neutrals.
Designers and builders have taken note: people are tired of beige. The bland off-white default is being replaced by grays and taupes that offer a warmer, more bold look, and rich jewel tones, pastels, and natural colors are being used to add more personality to a design.
